Urpychay Sonqoy - "May the dove in my heart dance with the dove in your heart"

From the Quechua language of the Andes Mountains

Safe

I provide a heart centered, safe space for you to open up to your own potential for deep inner healing.

Spiritual

My work is inspired by spirit, through Pachamama, our mother earth. She is deeply compassionate, wise and a master healer. This connection is based on Ayni or sacred reciprocity with her and many other loving and healing energies that I have made relationship with over the years.

Insightful

I have worked and still work with many master healers and "Shamans" since 2004. Through this learning and apprenticeship, while diligently working through my own traumas and difficulties, I have gained deep insight. Through deep experience I have built my intuition and compassion so that I can now help you in the same ways that I have been helped.

•  Is it time to fly?
•  Are you ready to live a fuller, and more heart centered loving life?
•  Do you have addictions?
•  Are you lacking confidence or self-love?
•  Do you cling to the past?
•  Are you blocked, unhappy, tired or in pain?

If so, let me help you through with an open hearted loving approach to overcome these obstacles. Let us find emotional freedom and spiritual freedoms. Let’s develop clarity, open your heart, find peace and regain your power.
Together we can find the root of most issues and work to resolve what needs to be resolved to live a more fuller, happier life.

My Sessions…

Having treated many clients I have honed my skills over the years.  These skills include being a certified Herbalist, certified Somatic Breath Coach(trauma release), “shamanic” healing as a “shamanic” practitioner, Mesa(altar) work, spiritual counsel (minister), energy work, pre and post plant medicine ceremony consultation, space clearing, teaching, divination (despachos), sound healing, soul retrieval and ceremonial work. Also, I have many years of assisting people in creating healthy eating and lifestyle habits.  I am what would be considered in Latin America a Curandero or one who cures/heals.  This tradition is called Curanderismo and it is a very holistic modality that covers many facets of a person’s well being and healing. It brings together all the different modalities I have studied in a beautiful way.

My main influences are traditions from Peru, especially the Andean mountain Paqokuna traditions and the jungle traditions. In Peru and North America, I have participated in many different styles and traditions of ceremonial work which has contributed greatly to my personal healing and has given me a wide perspective on how ceremony and ritual healing works.  This understanding enables me to bring a safe and effective structure to our work together since each session is a form of ceremony.

Many indigenous prophecies and established religions are portending that now is the time for the people of the earth to raise in consciousness, for the earth itself to raise in consciousness.  The time is here and still very much descending on us all. We all can become much more loving, compassionate, heart-centered and “feminine” in nature.  This will be a new way to live on the earth, the momentum is happening right now, as we see many of the old paradigms crumbling under their own weight, personally and planetarily.  The light is filtering in, more than ever.  As the Inca have said, “We are Children of the Sun”, this is our birthright, to connect with that internal light, your personal sun.  If you are ready, let me help you find the healing light within yourself, so that you can ascend to a happier, healthier, more actualized you.

I customize each session for what you need at the time of our meeting.  A session could look like heart to heart talking, with herbal or food recommendations.  Along with breath coaching for aches, pains, trauma; proper direction with breathing can be effective with many conditions, be it emotional, physical or spiritual.  We could do a spiritual cleansing (limpias), soul retrieval, extraction of intrusive energies, despacho or journeywork.  Any of these methods could be employed during a session to assist in releasing what it is that holds you back.

My Background…

Back in 2006, I attended the Heartwood Institute, where I received certifications in massage and Asian Healing Arts.  I studied both in the Ayurvedic and Chinese traditions of healing using herbs and food.  My Herbalist training is from two certifications one from “Blue Otter School of Energetic Herbalism” and the other is from “The Blue Ridge School of Holistic Herbalism.  I have received certification from the “The Four Winds Society” in “shamanic healing and energy work” and “The Power of Breath Institute” in Somatic Breath Coaching.  Also, I have worked extensively with Oscar Miro-Quesada founder of “The Heart of the Healer Foundation”.  Some of my beloved Peruvian and Mexican master teachers and healers, that I have been fortunate to work with and learn from, are Don Alberto Francisco, Don Mariano Quispe, Don Jose Campos, Julietta Casimiro and Don Jose Luis Herrera of the Rainbow Jaguar Institute.

My story goes something like this.  I was born with a congenital eyesight impairment that made growing up in the suburbs very difficult.  I felt very much like a victim to this condition and that it ruled my life and was creating trauma, of fear, abandonment, and rejection.  So, I lived under this constant stress of not being good enough.  I struggled deeply through all schooling, being extremely shy, depressed and falling through many cracks.  Then I went to college where I found out I was interested in art.  I became an art major so that I could express myself, something I never felt I could do before.

After a few years, I ended up in Sedona, Az as a Forest Ranger.  Sedona being a place that fed my soul with its beauty.  That part of the world makes my heart sing and was very healing for me.  The power of Pachamama to heal was deeply evident in me.  After 10 or so years of being a ranger, I had a serious car accident which changed my life.  I heard the voice of “God” telling me what my next step was, just after very nearly plummeting off a 200-foot cliff, to be saved by a small tree.  I almost died.   Then I left this wonderful job to follow my true path of learning to or “remembering” how to become a healer and to receive my own soul healing.  I then headed to California.

I remember very clearly one day when I was about 12 or 13 I said to my mother that I wanted to be a paranormal psychologist and then shortly thereafter I mentioned wanting to be a doctor.  I did not know it then, but that was my first “calling” to be a healer.  So, here I am bringing it all together many years later.

Anyky Kuyaky(deepest of thanks and gratitude) to you all.

“David is a profoundly gifted and knowledgable healer. I have never experienced the level of safety I feel with him with any other practitioner. This has allowed me to do a lot of deep work. Through him, I have learned to identify and release emotional blockages that have been holding me back for a long time. He is incredibly gentle and humble - but don’t let that fool you, the work he does is life changing.”
